Second grade is heading a school-wide collection of nonperishable items for the St. Edward food pantry during Lent. The St. Edward food pantry serves not only our own church community, but also Sacred Heart Center and Bainbridge Community Ministry, and they are very much in need of donations this time of year. We are asking for everyone to bring in two items each Tuesday (or just one if that’s easier!). Students will walk their items over and place them outside of the food pantry each week as we attend Mass. At this time, we are requesting the following items:
March 11: RICE & DRIED BEANS
March 18: SOUPS & CANNED FRUIT
March 25: CEREAL & BOXED MILK
APRIL 1: COOKING OIL, TORTILLAS OR A PACKAGED SWEET TREAT
APRIL 8: PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY
APRIL 15: TOOTHBRUSHES & TOOTHPASTE, OR A SALTY SNACK
