SEES Cheerleading Spring Clinic and Fall Registration

SPRING CHEER Jump & Stunt Clinic: 1st Grade-7th Grade

We are offering a Spring Cheer clinic for 1st-7th grade. This clinic is to help elevate and prepare for our Fall 2024 competition & exhibition squads for next year. This is for both returning and new to cheer. If your child is new to cheer but is interested in possibly signing up for the Fall Competition squad (no cuts) this is a great entry point for them to learn more. Practices will be on Thursdays starting 3/7 through 5/23 from 3:00-4:15 in the gym. We will still take registrations through Friday of next week even though we’re starting this week. If you have questions or want to learn more, email Denay Scharpf at [email protected].

FALL CHEER 1st-3rd & 4th and Up

We will have two cheerleading squads next Fall, please see the schedule below for both. Both squads will spend practice time working on a routine for The County Battle cheer competition in Early November (usually the first Sunday of Nov). Competition is usually at James River High School.

As we do not cheer for a SEES sport, there are no weekend commitments other than competition day.

Our 1st-3rd grade squad will perform as an exhibition team for County Battle and our 4th and up squad will compete against other elementary/middle schools in our area at the competition. Please note, our older squad will practice twice a week and attendance is required for both days.

We will hold uniform fittings for any new cheerleaders before the end of school (date TBD). If you are returning and need a new uniform piece, we will take care of that outside the registration, do not pay for a full uniform when you register.

Lenten Outreach for St. Edward Food Pantry
Date Posted: Thursday, 7th March 2024

Second grade is heading a school-wide collection of nonperishable items for the St. Edward food pantry during Lent. The St. Edward food pantry serves not only our own church community, but also Sacred Heart Center and Bainbridge Community Ministry, and they are very much in need of donations this time of year. We are asking for everyone to bring in two items each Tuesday (or just one if that’s easier!). Students will walk their items over and place them outside of the food pantry each week as we attend Mass. At this time, we are requesting the following items:

February 27: RICE & DRIED BEANS
March 5: CEREAL & BOXED MILK
March 12: COOKING OIL, TORTILLAS, OR A PACKAGED SWEET TREAT
March 19: PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY
March 26: TOOTBRUSHES & TOOTHPASTE, OR A SALTY SNACK

Of course this is optional, but very much appreciated! Thank you for serving our community!
